Snow is of course the core concept of the Torsby Ski Tunnel. Creating a “winter environment" that is available all year around is unique and sensational. No snow, equals no tunnel. Whether it is a skier training or a childs' enchanted meeting with Father Christmas in the tunnel, there is something magical about a visit in our snow filled environment. This opportunity is one we intend to fully explore.
Experience and Knowledge
The decision to place the ski tunnel in Torsby was a well planned one. Torsby is already one of Swedens' most prominent locations for sports including skiing. Several established athletes come here to prepare for the upcoming season.
The Stjerneskolan Sports Upper Secondary School, established in 1979, has experience and genuine knowledge of skiing at an elite level. Many great skiers and biathlon athletes have been discovered here.
At Torsby Central Hospital you find high medical competence in sports medicine and rehabilitation. This resource provides a secure environment for all active sports practitioners. These factors combined creates an internationally attractive location for training and competition, for pros´ as well as for amateurs. Torsby is a natural centre for sports wellness, research and education.

At the core of Torsby Ski Tunnel is skiing in all its forms. The area has been constructed to be able to hold major events and competitions in the tunnel. Torsby Ski Tunnel is able to create opportunities for new forms of skiing and the development of this genre. The tunnel and the adjacent recreational area are formed in such way to make new events easily excecuted. The spectators have also been taken into consideration, wheater via TV/computer or on location the area is accessible.
